About the event

"I am no bird; and no net ensnares me!"

Charlotte Bronte's classic work of literature if brought to the stage by The Asylum Players.

A taught, dark reworking of this search for freedom, a desire for love and a fear of control and subjugation.

"I have as much soul as you - and full as much heart."

Jane Eyre finds herself governess at Thornfield Hall, a place where secrets abound and dark histories seek to repeat themselves. The enigmatic and aloof Mr Rochester, presides over the estate and slowly he and Jane find themselves drawn into a spiral of emotions and intrigue, dogged by rumour and scandal. Above all this sits one terrible question; What is on the third floor?

"Every atom of your flesh is as dear to me as my own."
